Priest Reportedly Shot As Herdsmen Attack Catholic Church
Suspected herdsmen invaded a Catholic church in Jalingo Taraba state this morning. Injuring some priests. Some students where also injured and while many cars were destroyed in the attack. A priest was reportedly shot during the attack while two others were beaten up.
The director of Critas Nigeria, an agency of the Catholic church, Rev. Fr. Everistus Basset, made this known in a whatAspp message.
He said; "please FRS,pray for us. Our minor seminary in Jalingo has just been attacked by the Fulani, some students are injured, cars destroyed, two priests beaten and one shot on the leg. They are currently receiving treatment at FMC".
