House Of Reps Aspirant Calls On INEC To Rebuild Its office In Imo Community.

A front line aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Obinna Ebirim has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (NEC) to do all it can to see that its burnt office in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo state is rebuilt ahead of the 2019 general election.
The medical doctor and public health physician who is set to represent the good people of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru federal constituency in the Imo state House of Representatives - made the comment following complaints from his kinsmen from his maternal home town in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo state.
 He said,
"I have received complaints from my people that the INEC office in Mbaitoli LGA has not been rebuilt since it was razed by fire in 2015 despite bringing this to a notice of the current House Member. My people are worried that this is a sign of poor preparation for the 2019 election but I have assured them that INEC is on track and this will be brought to their notice."
Additionally, Dr. Obinna whose father is from Inyishi in Ikeduru LGA of Imo state equally noted that some work needs to be done to ensure that the INEC office in Ikeduru LGA is safe and accessible.
Speaking about the office in his paternal home, Dr. Ebirim said,
"Similarly, the INEC office in Ikeduru LGA is surrounded by overgrown bushes and has just an untarred track road that can't take two vehicles at a time. This is unsafe for an office with such upcoming delicate electoral role."
Consequently, the aspirant for Mbaitoli.Ikeduru House of Representives called on the INEC to rebuild  their office in Mbaitoli LGA  build a less than 1km road to connect the office in Ikeduru LGA to the already tarred road to the Ikeduru council office, and ensure that office in Mbaitoli/Ikeduru federal constituency is kept tidy and safe. He noted that this will reassure his people of INEC's readiness for the 2019 general election.
